We are currently looking for Residual Value Manager, the details Job responsibilities as below:
👤 Who You Are:
Responsible for residual value (RV) forecasting, monitoring, and optimization for all vehicle models in the European market. Through effective residual value management, support financial product pricing, product planning, and sales strategy formulation, control asset risk, and enhance full vehicle lifecycle profitability.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
I. Residual Value Forecasting & Model Management
Develop and maintain residual value forecasting models for each vehicle model across different country markets (12/24/36/48 months).
Conduct quantitative analysis and trend forecasting based on used-car transaction prices, auction data, and off-lease fleet data.
Regularly back-test forecast accuracy and continuously optimize model parameters and assumptions.
Produce standardized residual value forecast reports to serve as inputs for financial products, fleet quotations, and profit models.
II. Financial Products & Pricing Support
Provide residual value parameters for financial products such as leasing, PCP, and subscription models.
Collaborate with pricing and sales finance teams to assess the impact of different pricing strategies on residual values and risk exposure.
Participate in price feasibility assessments during new model launches and model-year updates.
Identify abnormal residual value risks, issue early warnings, and drive corrective actions.
III. Product & Configuration Strategy Collaboration
Provide feedback to product planning teams on residual-value-friendly configurations and trim/version structures.
Evaluate the impact of facelifts and new model introductions on the residual values of current and in-stock vehicles.
Support vehicle lifecycle management and phase-out timing decisions.
IV. Off-Lease Vehicle & Remarketing Management
Define remarketing channel strategies for off-lease vehicles (auctions, dealer networks, B2B exports, etc.).
Work with auction houses and used-car platforms to monitor transaction prices, turnover efficiency, and inventory structure.
Optimize cross-regional vehicle circulation strategies to maximize overall recovery value.
V. Risk & Financial Coordination
Cooperate with finance and risk management teams to assess the impact of residual value deviations on profitability and asset impairment provisions.
Monitor Residual Value Gain/Loss indicators and define improvement measures.
Support asset value assumptions in annual budgeting and mid- to long-term business planning.
VI. Market & Competitor Analysis
Track residual value performance and pricing trends of key competitors in the European market.
Analyze the impact of policy changes (subsidies, emissions regulations, traffic restrictions) on the used-car market.
Regularly deliver market insights to support market entry strategies and product positioning decisions.
VII. Cross-Functional & Cross-Regional Collaboration
Maintain close collaboration with sales, marketing, finance, product teams, and national sales companies.
Participate in cross-functional pricing committees and product decision-making meetings.
Drive the localization and implementation of headquarters strategies across national markets.
💼 What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
5+ years of experience in automotive finance, residual value management, pricing analysis, or the used-car market.
Experience with OEMs, captive finance companies, international leasing firms, or auction groups is a plus.
Familiarity with multi-country European automotive markets and leasing business models is an advantage.
Strong data analysis capabilities; advanced proficiency in Excel and at least one BI/analytics tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
Solid understanding of leasing and financial product structures and their risk logic.
Hands-on experience with used-car market mechanisms and price formation.
Strong commercial acumen and risk awareness.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional decision-making.
Experience working in multi-country, multicultural environments.
Fluent in English; German, French, or Spanish is a plus.
