We are currently looking for Logistics Manager, the details Job responsibilities as below:
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Strategy Planning: Develop logistics strategies for vehicles and spare parts in alignment with GAC’s business development goals in Europe, covering key areas such as inbound logistics, warehousing, distribution, and reverse logistics.
- End-to-End Logistics Solution Design: Design a full-chain logistics network architecture covering "Factory – Port – PDI Center – Dealer," balancing efficiency, cost, and service quality.
- Vendor Management: Select and manage local and cross-border logistics service providers (e.g., 3PLs, vehicle transport companies, port service providers), and optimize performance and contract terms.
- Operations Management and Optimization: Oversee organizational coordination, process management, and continuous improvement in logistics operations to enhance on-time delivery rates and reduce costs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Be well-versed in logistics-related regulations across European countries, including those on transportation, import/export, and warehousing, to ensure lawful and compliant operations.
- Logistics Information System Development**: Drive the implementation of WMS/TMS systems and logistics visibility tools to enable end-to-end tracking and efficiency analysis of logistics data.
- Cost Control and Budget Management: Develop annual logistics budgets, monitor cost structures, and drive cost optimization and contract negotiations in key areas.
- Multimodal and Green Logistics: Explore multimodal transport solutions including rail, sea, and road, and promote carbon emission visibility and green, low-carbon logistics practices.
- Team Collaboration and Talent Development: Support the establishment of the regional logistics team in Europe, foster local logistics management and operational talent, and enhance cross-department collaboration.
- Project Management and Execution: Lead key regional logistics projects from research and planning to execution, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Other Tasks: Complete other tasks assigned by the company and upper management.
💼 What You Bring:
- 8 years or above of automotive logistics or vehicle transportation related experience is preferred, familiar with vehicle import and export, port operations and European logistics network.
- A deep understanding of the logistics infrastructure, industry norms, customs clearance policies and local operating environment of major European countries.
- Familiar with the transportation, warehousing, PDI and distribution process of the whole vehicle and after-sale parts, experience in OEMs and logistics companies is preferred.
- Familiar with SAP, TMS, WMS and other logistics information systems, able to promote process digitization and data analysis and decision-making.
- Have experience in logistics cost accounting, analysis and optimization, with good financial understanding.
- Have strong project planning and execution ability, able to manage multiple multinational logistics projects at the same time.
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and organizational coordination skills, able to effectively promote internal and external synergies.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and changing market environment, with strong self-driven and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in English (or Chinese), with fluent oral and written expression skills, able to communicate with local teams and distributors without barriers.
